MANILA, Philippines — Judy Araneta-Roxas, the wife of former senator Gerry Roxas and mother of former senator and Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas II, has died. She was 91.
Roxas made the announcement on his social media platforms on Tuesday evening.
“We are very sad to share that our mother Judy Araneta Roxas passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by family and loved ones,” he wrote.

Mrs. Roxas was the vice chairman of the Araneta Center Corporation and was also chairman of the J. Amado Araneta Foundation, Inc. (JAAF), which is the social development arm of the Araneta Group.
